Shopping Indulgences: 3-day sample itinerary

Day 1

Morning

Outlet Shopping: After shopping in our factory stores for glassware, pewterware, crafts, silk flowers, and then hitting the designer outlets, you'll need a Conestoga wagon to pull all the goodies home!


Afternoon

Downtown Shopping: Jewelry, art, chocolate, designer and retro clothing, antiques - if you want it, you can find it in Downtown Lancaster. Looking for something a little different? Visit some of our more unique shops and galleries  in the 300 Block of North Queen Street.

Or, head to the countryside for more local shops carrying handmade treasures such as quiltsfurniture, candles, baskets, edible goodies, gifts and so much more.


Evening

Dinner: Fine or casual dining in historic downtown Lancaster or throughout the county. Your appetite for great food is easily satisfied in any of our cozy cafes, excellent brewpubs, and fine restaurants.


Day 2

Morning

Lancaster Central Market: This is America's oldest farmers' market, continuously operated since the 1730's. The 1889 market building is a Victorian gem, so bring your camera. The tradition of market today is more like an international whirlwind of foods from here and around the world. The aisles are filled with a wonderful harvest of choices from old world and new, from Amish, German, Greek, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and Slavic backgrounds making Lancaster's Central Market a gathering place so full of life you'll never forget the experience.


Afternoon

Spa Treatment: For your serenity, enjoyment, and relaxation enjoy a deep tissue massage, deep cleansing facial, manicure or pedicure. After another fun-filled day of shopping, take time to pamper yourself and say goodbye to the stresses, pressures and tension of our fast-paced world.


Evening

Performing Arts/Theatre: Lancaster is home to many well-known theatres with a wide variety of entertaining and unique shows. Spectacular entertainment takes center stage. Nothing beats live entertainment. The curtains go up and for a few hours you're transported to another world. Suddenly you're laughing, singing, maybe even crying but having the time of your life.


Day 3

Morning

Antiquing: Shop for something from the past in perhaps the best place in the United States for antiquing. In Lancaster County, you'll find dozens of markets, shops, showcase malls, and centers with more than a thousand antiques dealers of antiques selling one-of-a-kind crafts, hand-built fine furniture, and folk art.
