Day One
Afternoon

Visit Lititz, where the whole family can savor some edible goodies-and make them too!-at Wilbur Chocolate Factory Store and Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery. Or, head to Intercourse for some sweat and salty treats at the Jam & Relish Kitchen in Kitchen Kettle Village, Intercourse Canning Company and Intercourse Pretzel Factory.
Evening
Enjoy a hearty meal at one of our Pennsylvania Dutch style restaurants, where you're get a cultural lesson via the authentic foods served family-style or on all-you-can-eat smorgasbords and buffets. Have no fear about going to bed hungry!
Overnight
In Lancaster County, creativity even extends to your home away from home. Our variety of lodging options includes working farms, a family favorite, where kids young and old will love helping out with farm chores, visiting with baby animals and taking hayrides. Day Two
Morning
Let your imagination run wild in downtown Lancaster and the surrounding area, where you'll find several interactive kid-friendly museums. The Lancaster Science Factory, North Museum of Natural History & Science and Hands-on House Children's Museum offer a whole host of hands-on activities that help children to learn about scientific inventions, technology, dinosaurs, natural phenomena and much more!
Afternoon
Treat the family to creative adventure by hitting the road for an afternoon and taking a short venture to see how some favorite local snacks are made!

Option 1: It's not called the "Sweetest Place on Earth" for nothing! At Hershey's Chocolate World, take the Great American Chocolate tour to sing along with the cows while learning about the chocolate-making process. Afterward, make your own edible snack in personalized wrappers, plus create a chocolaty greeting card and design a special basket of goodies-all at Hershey's Factory Works. All sorts of sweet souvenirs too!

Option 2: During Herr's Snack Factory Tour, learn firsthand all the creative tidbits about these delicious local snacks. You'll watch actual workers construct perfect chips, pretzels, cheese curls, popcorn and more, all the while listening to the history of Herr's and discovering the true art behind the methods used to produce everyone's favorite munchies.
Evening
Relax after a busy day by watching true originality come to life at one of Lancaster County's theatres. Whether it is a musical extravaganza, a comedic tale or a spiritual and uplifting story, there are plenty of options for the whole family to enjoy and experience our vibrant performing arts scene together.
Day Three
Morning
Explore the friendly town of Strasburg, which is not only surrounded by vast amounts of Amish farms, but host to everything train-related! Experience the true art of these amazing locomotives in motion by climbing aboard classic cars at Strasburg Rail Road. Tour the history of engines and rail cars at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, check out tons of toy trains on displays at the National Toy Train Museum, and don't forget to visit the Choo Choo Barn, filled with miniature Amish farmland and 21 operating trains and animated figures!
Before you head home, be sure to stop for the perfect travel snack - some of Lancaster County's famous sweets and treats!
