Redware pottery, made from red clay, was the first pottery made in Colonial America. Each region of the country developed its own style and the most famous area for redware pottery was Eastern Pennsylvania where the immigrant German population produced this art until the end of the 19th century. Fortunately, Lancaster County Redware as well as other potters continue to produce tradtional redware pottery. We are proud to carry on the tradition of creating fine Pennsylvania redware.
We invite you to visit Lancaster County Redware on your next trip to Lancaster County. You will be able to watch as we create our redware and will be happy to personalize your Lancaster County treasure and ship it directly to you. Or, choose from a wide array of redware just recently made.
While visiting us, be sure to stop by Kevin Lehman's Pottery in the same building.
Our store is open on Wednesday, 10AM to 6PM and Saturday 10AM to 4PM. However, feel free to call and if possible we will open just for you!
